Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyaan is the scheme to make six crore persons in rural areas, across States/UTs, digitally literate, reaching to around 40% of rural households by covering one member from every eligible household by 31st March, 2019.
Making one person in every family digitally literate is one of the integral components of the Prime
Minister’s vision of “Digital India”.The Scheme would empower the citizens in rural areas by training them to operate computer or digital access devices (like tablets, smart phones etc.), send and receive e-mails, browse Internet, access Government services, search for information, undertake digital payment etc. and hence enable them to use the Information Technology and related applications especially Digital Payments to actively participate in the process of nation building. The Scheme aims to bridge the digital divide, specifically targeting the rural population including the marginalised sections of society like Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST), Minorities, Below Poverty Line (BPL), women and differently-abled persons and minoritie

cluster of villages, geographical area or a group of participnts in a town .this can be done
through poetry ,digital stories, community newspapers online, imanes collections (old and new),

digital village also becomes a learning commmunity.A Digital Villge is a space where a community
expresses their indentity though ICT and Digital Media. This may Be from and artists, heritage, or
economic perspective or a mixture of all three.

USSD is a service which aims to take banking services to every common man in the country. The service allaows every ccustomer to asccess baking services with a single number irrespective of the telecom service provider, make of the mobile handset or the resion. When a user semds a message to the company network, it is received by a computer dedicated to USSD. The computer's response is sent backto the phone, generally in a basic format that can easily be seen on the phone display. USSDcan be used to provide independent calling services such as a callback service (to reduce phone charges while roaming), enhance mobile marketing capabilities or intrective data services. USSD is simple to use and more secure than SMS. It works on all kind Of mobile handsets and it also works even while on the move.
